Name's Autumn, I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician & I live in good ol' Indiana. I'm 22 years old & have always been "the fat girl". I am slowly but surely becoming the FIT girl instead. I started my journey in December of 2011. I ran my first 1/2 marathon in December of 2012.
I obtained my Personal Trainer Certification in April of 2013, and as of June 2013 I am a Certified Nutrition Advisor.
I'm here to help if any of you have any questions or just need encouragement. I've been in your shoes. It always helps to have a little support. Just think of me as your favorite sports bra. ;)

I woke up this morning, Saturday morning, feeling lazy. I didn’t really want to workout. I made a healthy lunch, and that’s fine. But I was going through old pictures on my laptop and came across this girl on the left.
This girl who always had some kind of food or drink in her hand. This girl who two months prior had just tuned 21 and was living the life of a functioning alcoholic. Who was celebrating New Year’s Eve 2012 the only way she knew how. A girl who didn’t (but still doesn’t) care what people would think of her. A girl so ridiculously unhealthy that she got out of breath doing the simplest tasks, and who barely fit into rides at amusement parks.
Then you have the girl on the right, in all of her sweaty, red-faced glory. She was sitting in front of her laptop with a gaping open mouth, in disbelief that she had ever let herself slip so deep into poor health and carelessness. She saw the girl on the left, got dressed, and decided to go for a run. And TODAY was the day she decided, “I’m going to run in just shorts and a sports bra.” And so she did.
Seriously though, it felt freaking GREATTTT!! I felt free, like a total badass. Didn’t care what cars driving by thought, or if anyone peaked out and saw the 179 pound girl running down the road half naked. And looking at this picture I don’t think I could be more proud of who I’ve become and who I am today. While I still may be in the overweight category, I’m insanely healthy. I’m a runner. I’m a personal trainer. I’m in a really good place in my life, and I love myself for who I am.
